Blue Bird Trail
Brownie, Junior |
Join the Kalamazoo Nature Center staff, Haley Breniser and Sarah Reding for a songbird walkabout. The nature center monitors bluebird nest boxes at Gull Lake View Golf Club April-August every year. Bluebirds, in addition to Tree Swallows, American Robins, Black-capped Chickadees and Northern Cardinals, are one of the many bird species that use the golf course as their home during the summer months.
Come walk the nest box trail with us and observe
Bluebirds in all their summer glory! A bird watching fun patch will be awarded to the girls.
Skills Learned: Discuss bird ecology and nesting behaviors, use of binoculars, bird identification and observational skills.
