Girls Need You!

The Girl Scouts of Glowing Embers Council is currently recruiting adults to serve as Girl Scout volunteers. Assistance is needed with leading troops, administrative duties, event coordination, and product sales.  Short on time? Why not share a particular skill or special hobby with a troop for a Girl Scout program or design a newsletter?  Whether you want to work directly with girls throughout the year or lend experience for a specific short term project, we have a place for you.

Each one of you has the potential to reach out and make a difference in the lives of girls within the community. Just one active volunteer can directly influence an average of 12 girls’ futures. As a Girl Scout volunteer, you can help shape the future of a generation, one girl at a time. Here’s what you’re missing out on if you’re not a volunteer:

• Inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
• Teaching girls to take healthy risks, build their skills and prepare them for the future
• Developing girls to embrace a variety of ideas and opinions.

Girl Scouting plays a pivotal role in helping girls grow into confident, capable, and courageous women who make the world a better place. But without caring adults willing to donate a little of their time, many girls will be unable to take advantage of the many benefits of  joining Girl Scouts.
