Family Partnership and the Honor Troop Program
The Honor Troop Program was established by the council to recognize troops willing to take the additional time and energy necessary to make the Girl Scout program a more meaningful and varied experience. Troop participation in Family Partnership is among the requirement options for earning Honor Troop Status. To qualify, each troop member’s family must contribute $25 or more to Family Partnership or the troop must raise the equivalent of $25 or more per girl through an event or fundraiser that benefits Family Partnership. For example; a troop of 4 girls must contribute $100 or more to Family Partnership to be able to apply this requirement toward the Honor Troop Program. |
Stellar Family
Each year a Girl Scout family will be selected to be the Family PartnershipStellar Family. This year to be entered into the drawing,
a family must contribute $95 or more to the Family Partnership
program to commemorate the 95th anniversary of Girl Scouting. Funds must be received by December 30th, 2007 to be eligible. The winner will be announced on January 14th 2008. The winning family will have their picture posted on the Family Partnership website along with a story in their own words about why they choose to support their daughter in Girl Scouting. |
