There are many ways parents can get involved and lend a hand. Without the support of wonderful volunteers and parents GSGEC would not be able to provide so many wonderful opportunities to build girl’s of courage, confidence, and character that make the world a better place.

Moral Support
- Offer assistance to help the troop leader.
- Make every attempt to attend troop functions when invited.
|

Helping the troop
- Chaperone and provide transportation for a trip away from the meeting place.
- Help with troop record keeping.
- Help with troop financial record keeping.
- Help buy or donate troop supplies.
- Share your hobby with the troop.
- Lend facilities (kitchen, playroom, yard, etc.) to the troop.
- Find activities and materials for service projects and other activities.
- Coordinate a field trip.
- Be an Emergency Contact Person for trips.
- Help with troop phoning.
- Help occasionally at meetings.
- Coordinate activities for special events.
- Provide storage space for troop equipment.
- Baby-sit for leader or others taking training or chaperoning on field trips.
- Be the troop’s trained First Aider (training provided).
- Be the troop’s trained camp person (training provided).
- Type troop newsletter and/or monthly calendars.
- Serve as a troop committee member.
- Serve as the troop cookie chair.
