Matt was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He graduated from Campbellsport High School in Wisconsin where he was an Eagle Scout. He has a BS in forestry from the University of Wisconsin and a double major in forest recreation and urban forestry from Steven’s Point. He enjoys fishing, backpacking, archery, and most outdoor activities. He is also a magician and has been performing for kids for more than 15 years. His favorite Girl Scout cookie is the Thin Mint.
