Jan Barker |
| Jan was born in Miami, Florida where she was a Girl Scout from 2nd grade through high school and a first class Girl Scout. After graduating from Southwest Miami High School, she attended Miami Dade Community College, University of Florida and Western Michigan University. She has degrees in Wildlife Ecology, Nutrition and Dietetics and Biochemistry and Science Studies/Botany. While in college she also kept busy as a leader for an inner-city troop. Some of Jan’s favorite things to do are spend time with her family, cook and garden. Her favorite Girl Scout Cookie is trefoils. When asked what else she would like others to know about her she said, “I am very proud of my two children, my daughter, a senior in college and my son, a freshman in college. I hold the promise to 'make the world a better place’ very dear and try to live this in my professional and personal life.” |
